SMEs - the growth drivers of the economy

New Delhi, Nov 29 (KNN)  To enhance the competitiveness of the MSME sector, the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is organising a seminar titled, SMEs - the growth drivers of the economy.

“The interaction at the seminar will be focused on enhancing the competitiveness of Indian SMEs in the global market by capacitating them in terms of marketing strategies, technology upgradation, branding, accessibility to finance and many more,” said an ASSOCHAM release.

To be held here on December-6, the seminar would also feature SME Excellence Awards 2013 in the categories of innovation, green business, CSR activities, fair business practices, SME of the year, most promising brand; and women entrepreneur.

The interactive seminar would be inaugurated by the MSME Minister, K H Muniyappa who would also confer the first ASSOCHAM – The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) SMEs Excellence Awards – 2013.

Other dignitaries who will be present on the occasion are Chairman, NSIC, H P Kumar, MSME Secretary, Madhav Lal and other officials from NSIC, KVIC and NIESBUD.  (KNN/ES)
