SMEs to participate in machinery, technology exhibition in Sri Lanka

The exhibition will be organised by Small and Medium Enterprise Developers (Project SMED), and Ministry of Industry and Commerce Sri Lanka from October 11-13.
Food processing, agri-business, processing and packaging machinery, welding sector, metal working, plastic and glass manufacturing will be the highlights of the exhibition.
Apart from this, the exhibition will also showcase work of leather, shoes, coir, gem and jewellery manufacturers.
Facilities to participate in the exhibition will be provided to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) under market assistance scheme (MAS).
Under the scheme, marketing support is provided to micro, small and medium enterprises through NSIC which enhances competitiveness and marketability of their products.
The objective is to update MSMEs about the prevalent market scenario and its impact on their activities.
It facilitates the formation of consortia of MSMEs for marketing of their products and services and provides platform for interaction with large institutional buyers. (KNN/GUNJ)
