SMEs urged to use clean technology

Indore, Jul 21 (KNN) In order to reduce carbon footprint, promote sustainable development and curb input costs, the small scale industry has been asked to adopt clean technology.

Speakers in a workshop on clean technology advocated the use of advanced technology to help the industry reduce input costs and stay competitive in the market.

The workshop on clean technology was organised by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), United Nations Industrial Development Corporation (UNIDO) and Association of Industries, Madhya Pradesh.

Topics that were featured during the discussion were energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste energy and waste efficiency.

A presentation was also made to help those in the MSME industry understand the benefits of adopting clean technology. (KNN Bureau)
