Stakeholders’ consultative workshop on Financing Energy Efficiency Projects in MSMEs on May 8

New Delhi, Apr 29 (KNN) With the support of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) & Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) are jointly organizing a Stakeholders’ Consultative Workshop on Financing Energy Efficiency Projects in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on May 8, 2019 at Hotel Royal Plaza in the national capital.

The aim of the workshop is to deliberate on viable business models and exploring partnerships to upscale financing energy efficiency projects in MSMEs.

In addition, the workshop seeks synergy among different Energy Efficiency projects/programs being implemented by BEE, EESL, SIDBI, and other multilateral Agencies.

There is a need to discuss the idea of developing a broad-based implementation framework for MSMEs using scheme-based approach, according to the agenda of the workshop.

The event will be attended by delegates from Government organizations, Bilateral/Multi-lateral organizations, leading ESCOs, Industrial & Commercial Entities, Technology Providers, Banks / Financial Institutions, MSMEs, Industry Associations, etc.

Various stakeholders alongside other governmental, international and multilateral organization need to aim & deliberate existing bankable DPRs, sector-based methodology and other ongoing efforts lead to significant uptake of utilizing Partial Risk Sharing Facility (PRSF) scheme and thus greater extent of EE implementation, it added.

The stalwarts present in the workshop will discuss the program status of PRSF and other MSMEs program.

Besides this, identifying the gaps and limitations in the implementation of these initiatives and in the delivery of various financial support program will be the other areas of discussion.

Other discussion areas include, developing a set of actionable recommendations that will complement (or inform) the Government of India’s evolving plan of improving energy efficiency in MSMEs.
