Star Imaging And Path Lab Lists On BSE SME At Discount To IPO Price

New Delhi, Aug 18 (KNN) Star Imaging and Path Lab shares commenced trading on the BSE SME Platform at Rs 138, representing a 2.82 per cent discount to its initial public offering price of Rs 142. The stock was listed at Rs 142, matching its IPO price, before declining during intraday trading.

During the trading session, the counter reached a high of Rs 143 and touched a low of Rs 135.75. Trading volumes remained active with approximately 9.30 lakh shares changing hands on the exchange.

The company's IPO, which was open for subscription from August 8 to August 12, 2025, received robust investor response with an oversubscription of 5.04 times. The public issue was priced within a band of Rs 135-142 per share.

The IPO structure comprised a fresh issue of 39.20 lakh equity shares and an offer for sale of 9.72 lakh shares. Following the public offering, promoter shareholding in the company decreased to 71.92 per cent from the previous 100 per cent holding.

The diagnostic services provider plans to deploy the net proceeds from the IPO toward multiple objectives, including repayment and prepayment of existing borrowings, funding capital expenditure for medical equipment installation at operational facilities, meeting working capital requirements, and supporting general corporate purposes.

Prior to the public issue launch, Star Imaging and Path Lab secured Rs 18.51 crore through its anchor investor round on August 7, 2025. The company's board allocated 13.04 lakh shares at Rs 142 each to eleven anchor investors.

Star Imaging and Path Lab operates a National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories accredited diagnostic testing network, providing pathology, radiology, cardiology, and neurology services across multiple regions. 

The company serves customers through business-to-consumer, business-to-business, and business-to-government models in Delhi, while focusing on business-to-government operations in Uttar Pradesh and Nashik.

As of March 31, 2025, the company employed 211 full-time staff members, including executive directors. For the financial year ended March 31, 2025, Star Imaging and Path Lab reported revenue from operations of Rs 83.50 crore and recorded a net profit of Rs 15.95 crore.
