Startupreneurs: an expo for startups to meets investors, generate funds

Chennai, Nov 18 (KNN) To celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit in Tamil Nadu and help startups take the next step in their business and survive past the first year, an expo will be held here.
Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, Startupreneurs to be held on November-24 will offer knowledge, a market to sell or showcase products and help find funds that can speedup growth.
On the importance of the event, “A small break is all the difference between great success and oblivion. By providing a mega platform for Startups to assemble together with all the other spokes of enterprise in the State, from government agencies to financial institutions to businesses who can be your clients, Startupreneurs might provide just that spark you need to step up your game a level,” an official notification said.
It is hoped that the event will help startups to find solutions to issues that have held them back so far and perhaps provide the much needed break.
Moreover, although the Government is trying to find ways to encourage commerce and industry by offering various incentives, grants and benefits, most startups are simply not aware of them or do not have the time to avail these facilities.
At the event, government officials will be present to explain what might be available to them and help them get started in completing the processes involved to avail these facilities.
The event is for emerging startups, featuring everything from cloud tech to food processing to automotive to education and everything in between. Instead of a formal pitch session, the Startupreneurs expo floor is open for investors to visit demo tables freely, approaching startups at their own discretion.
Startupreneurs Expo would help end user companies to see exciting and innovative services, products and solutions.
Other than startups, the event will see the presence of investors, incubators, accelerators, etc. It will include keynote speeches, panel discussions, startups school session with lots of networking opportunities with mentors, entrepreneurs, service providers, etc. (KNN/ES)
