Sunil Vaish takes charge of IIA, commits promotion and development of MSMEs

New Delhi, May 18 (KNN) The Kanpur bases industrialist Sunil Vaish recently took charge of the Indian Industries Association (IIA) in the capacity of the National President. He was appointed as the President after an election conducted by the association in which 21 Central Executive Committee Member voted.


Sunil Vaish was serving at the post of Senior Vice President at the IIA.

In the opening remarks during a session, Sunil in his first address said that his priorities include promotion and development of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs). He also said that the MSME entrepreneurs in the country are not able to perform well as there is a gap between the government and the sector. Other priority area for the IIA under him would include pushing for better ease of doing business facilities.

Talking about the upcoming GST regime, the newly elected President said that the GST will pose new challenges for MSMEs, which will be taken into account by his association.


Highlighting the importance of the MSME sector in the economy he said that the Indian economy has a fair contribution from the MSME sector.

Indian Industries Association (IIA) is a representative body of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, with a membership base of about 6500 MSMEs with the head office in lucknow.
