Tamil Nadu CCI asks State govt to exempt MSMEs from approvals & inspections for next 3 years

Chennai, Feb 25 (KNN) The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Tamil Nadu chapter has suggested the State Finance Minister Dr Palanivel Thiaga Rajan to exempt state's micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from approvals and inspections for the next three years.

This was submitted along with a slew of recommendations for the Tamil Nadu Budget 2022-23.

Emphasising on MSMEs, they have urged the state government to help the sector as it ensures job opportunities in the State.

The aim of the suggestions is to facilitate more investment especially in central and southern districts of Tamil Nadu.

Introduction of Fast-teaching investments in the electronic sector is one of the recommendations.

It has also suggested to set up more specialised recycling centres for vehicle scrapping. 

Further, the trade body has requested the state authorities to establish a bulk drug park to attract investment in the chemical and pharmaceutical sector.  (KNN Bureau)
