Chennai, Apr 14 (KNN) Several Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tamil Nadu are preparing a wish list which they would like to present to the new government that comes into the power come May-19 when the results of the state assembly elections are announced.

Polling across Tamil Nadu is a single-day affair, and votes will be counted on May-19.

Talking to KNN, President of Tamil Nadu Small and Tiny Industries Association (TANSTIA), Muthusami C. said that they were preparing a manifesto to handover to the new government which will be formed next month.

In addition, he said they have a list of grievances pertaining to MSMEs which they would like the new government to address.

When asked about the Jayalalithaa’s Government contribution towards MSMEs, he said that the Government did good work in the aftermath of the floods, as also during the beginning of its tenure.

She helped us in many ways by providing generator subsidy, rescheduling loans during the flood times and so on, he said, adding that they had received a lot of facilities owing to the damage caused by the floods.

As far as their specific demands are concerned, the entrepreneur said that many industries are being set up in the CIDCO industrial area in Tamil Nadu and they would like sale deeds for them.  That is one of their major demands.

Meanwhile, the DMK has promised many sops including single window clearance for various procedures.  However, the AIADMK Government has already implemented the single window clearance within 30 days, he said.

He acknowledged that there has been a rapid growth in the number of MSMEs in the state as well as employment opportunities. (KNN Bureau)
