TN Govt orders enhancement of training charges from Rs 12,250 to Rs 14,362 per candidate under MSME-NEEDS

Chennai, Aug 13 (KNN) The Government has issued orders to enhance the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) training charges from Rs 12,250 to Rs 14,362 per candidate under Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME)-‘New Entrepreneur cum Enterprise Development Scheme’ (NEEDS).

According to official notification, orders have been issued to enhance the training charges from Rs.12,250 -to Rs14,362 per candidate allowable to be sanctioned and disbursed to Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII) for conducting EDP training for three weeks (15 days) and EDP training for a batch comprising 25 candidates under NEEDS.

The move comes after the Principal Secretary / Director, EDII proposed for enhancement of training fees per candidate to Rs.14,362/-from Rs.12,250/-being approved and allowed by the Government since the inception of the scheme and also stated that per head charges and components of expenses listed have escalated from the approved rate as allowed by the Government.

The New Entrepreneur cum Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS) is a scheme promoted by the Directorate of Industries and Commerce, Government of Tamil Nadu.

The objective of the scheme is to provide educated youth with opportunities for entrepreneurship by providing capital and interest subsidy.
