Training programme on perfumery, aromatherapy

Mumbai, May 8 (KNN) Fragrance and Flavour Development Centre (FFDC) is organising an entrepreneurship workshop on essential oils, perfumery and aromatherapy to help entrepreneurs enter this field.

The training programme will be held from May-16 to 18, here.

The programme is designed to give an overview of educational, technological and commercial aspects of essential oils, fragrances and aromatherapy right from natural sources to application stage, including quality assessment, blending and processing technologies.

The course will cover topics such as business opportunities in essential oil, sources, prospects, organic cultivation, economic, aroma in ayurveda, extraction, methodology for fragrant raw materials, safety and regulatory aspects of perfumery, techniques of blending for perfumery, chemistry of carrier oils and storage of essential oils.

This course is suitable for scientists, teachers, persons engaged in aromatic and medicinal plants activities, cosmetologists, aroma therapists, doctors, practitioners of alternative therapies, beauty experts and entrepreneurs who want to enter this filed.

FFDC is an autonomous body under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, engaged in serving, promoting and developing the Indian MSME and the associated farmers in the field of essential oils, fragrances and flavours. The major activities of the centre include cultivation, processing, quality assessment. (KNN/ST)
