Mumbai, Dec 31 (KNN) Uttar Pradesh based winding wire manufacturer Tentiwal Wire Products and Gujarat based Captain Polyplast Limited have listed themselves on the SME Platform of BSE Limited.

Tentiwal Wire Products had floated a public issue of 54.24 lakh equity shares of a face value of Rs 10 each for cash at price of Rs 13 per equity share aggregating to Rs 211.90 lakhs.

The company is primarily engaged in the business of manufacturing of Wire and Aluminum products.

While, Captain Polyplast Limited has come out with its public issue of 19.80 lakh equity shares of a face value of Rs 10 each. It raised Rs 5.94 crore through the issue at a cash price of Rs 30 per equity share. The company is the manufacturer, exporter and trader of supreme quality HDPE pipes and irrigation equipment.

The BSE SME Exchange, the Bombay Stock Exchange's platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), is witnessing a lot more SMEs listing on the platform these days.

So far, a total of 43 companies have listed on the platform. However, active trading takes place in less than half of the companies listed.

The BSE SME platform was launched in March 2012.

According to a media report, listing in BSE has helped them to collect around Rs 350-400 crore and their market capitalisation is now in the range of Rs 2,500 crore or more.

Once an SME lists itself on the platform, it starts getting equity which can further help them get more debt from banks.
It can also help them enlist partners. Besides, BSE provides facilities such as free research reports and market making, to ensure that investors are safe.

The exchange has a team that reaches out to SME clusters and works with banks and chambers of commerce to make people aware that this facility is available to entrepreneurs. (KNN Bureau)
