UP govt to set 805 MSME projects in motion during investors’ meet tomorrow

Lucknow, June 2 (KNN) The Uttar Pradesh government will set the ground work for 805 micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) projects during the third ground-breaking ceremony (GBC) on June 3.

“The Gautam Budh Nagar will be at the forefront with 40 such projects. Mathura follows next with fifteen, Lucknow with eight, Barabanki with seven and six each in Ghaziabad and Gorakhpur,” said cabinet minister for industries and infrastructure development Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi.

The Agriculture sector along with its allied industries witness a major boost with 275 new projects being launched. In the agriculture and allied industries sector, 13 projects worth Rs 11,297 crore will commence while infrastructure projects worth 6,632 crore will also take off in the ceremony and 65 of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies,” he said.

According to the Industry department officials, other projects hitting the ground included six projects related to education worth Rs 1,183 crore, seven projects worth 489 crores of dairy, six of animal husbandry worth Rs 224 crore.

The manufacturing sector will have 27 new projects worth Rs 6,227 crore and 46 projects of the Handloom and Textile sector Worth Rs 5,642 crore. As many as 23 projects in the renewable energy sector worth Rs 4,782 crore and 19 projects in the housing and commercial sector worth Rs 4,344 crore will begin.

In the health care category, eight projects worth Rs 2,205 crore and in the defence, 23 projects worth Rs 1,774 crore will also see light of the day. A total of 26 projects in the warehousing and logistics category worth Rs 1,295 crore will also be launched besides other projects. (KNN Bureau)
