Up-gradation of ‘Institute for Auto Parts and Hand Tools Technology’ to benefit MSMEs: Punjab Industries Min

New Delhi, Oct 24 (KNN) Up-gradation of ‘Institute for Auto Parts and Hand Tools Technology’ would benefit the MSMEs especially hand tool and auto component manufacturers, said Punjab Industries Minister, Sham Sunder Arora.
He said “there is a need to upgrade institute for auto parts & hand tools technology as it would transform the state into a global manufacturing and export hub.”
Owing to the persistent efforts of the Punjab government, the institute for auto parts and hand tools technology at Ludhiana has been upgraded under the ASIDE scheme with an investment in plant and machinery worth Rs 12 crores, he added.
Now, the MSMEs will have access to world class research and development, testing and manufacturing facilities within the state of Punjab, said Arora.
He said that with the start of these technologically advanced facilities in the Institute, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, especially hand tool and auto parts component manufacturers, will benefit and become competitive for global markets and enhance exports from the state.
