Upkar Singh Ahuja reelected as CICU President; assures support to ensure credit to MSMEs

Ludhiana, April 25 (KNN) Veteran Industrialist Upkar Singh Ahuja has been reelected as the President of Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) and has assured full support to ensure that MSMEs get adequate credit on time. 

The Ludhiana based industrialist is engaged in manufacturing of Auto Parts and Agriculture implements for more than three decades and is the Group Managing Director of New Swan Group.

Elected for a term of two years he said that CICU will attain its non-political image in future as desired by members.

He further mentioned that the Chamber will serve MSMEs to great extent and work on new initiative like setting up Center for Manufacturing Excellence, Policy advocacy with center and state government.

Raising funds for startups, improving quality, cost, delivery for micro sector units by giving services at their door steps is also CICU’s priority, the President said.

Presiding Officer Vishav Bandu Monga, Joint Director, Office of the Director of Industry & Commerce, Chandigarh declared Ahuja as the President after the Annual General Meeting held last week.

Ahuja also serves as the Chairman of Punjab Small Industrial Development Board and was General Secretary of the Chamber for two terms. (KNN Bureau)
