New Delhi, May 15 (KNN)  As per the recommendations of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on promotion of MSMEs, vacant lands in special economic zones (SEZ) in the country have been identified for location of MSME units.

“The details of vacant lands in SEZs (as on 23.01.2014) across the country are available in Table-1 (the details of zone-wise notified land area) and Table-2 (the dis-aggregated SEZ-wise sector-specific nature as well as the location) under the link of Notifications – Availability of lands in various SEZs in India in the SEZ website (www.sezindia.gov.in).  These are figures of vacant lands in the ‘processing area’ of the SEZs where units can locate themselves,” the MSME Ministry memorandum of April-16 said.

The memorandum was addressed to MSME Development Institutes, industry associations and Development Commissioners of MSME for dissemination among units in their jurisdiction, for availing such benefit.

MSME units wishing to set up units in the available land have to follow up the matter with the Development Commissioners of the concerned SEZs.  (KNN/ES)
