Nagpur, Apr 5 (KNN)  Electricity consumers and members of the Vidarbha Industry Association are meeting today to discuss matters relating to exemption of electricity duty, power tariff and other issues that concern the industry units in the area.

According to Chairman, Energy Cell, Vidarbha Industry Association (VIA), R B Goenka, “status of exemption of electricity duty for industries in Vidarbha and power tariff related issues as  also impact of recent tariff order of the commission applicable from 1^st March 2014,” will figure high on the agenda. 

Considerable focus will also be given to the progress of legal matters registered by VIA with different courts of law and appellate tribunal for electricity including Competition Commission of India.
 
It is expected that members will chalk out a future action plan with respect to all the above matters.  (KNN/ES)
