New Delhi, Mar 18 (KNN) The MSMEs from across sectors including steel and textile are expecting transparency through the new web portal launched by the government on coal allocation and monitoring system.

Gandhi Sircar, Executive Director, Steel Re-Rolling Mills' Association of India told KNN, “Web Portal for distribution of coal by State Nominated Agencies (SNA) is a right step in Coal Business Domain.”

Once the Mobile App is launched and linked with Indian Railways as indicated by MIC Power, Coal & Renewable Energy, perhaps it will facilitate multi-tasking as well, he added.

The Textile Industry also shares similar views on the development.

Animesh Sexena, MD, Neetee Clothing said, “It’s a very good initiative and would bring transparency in coal allocation. We expect that the portal and monitoring system would help doing away with the middle man or agencies. The businesses can plan accordingly now.”

The MSMEs have been raising concerns over non-availability of coal to them.  The Web Portal for distribution of coal by State Nominated Agencies (SNA) has been launched by the government to provide small and medium consumers access to information about SNAs, availability, booking/supply distribution of coal in public domain.

The portal offers facility of online registration to consumers. The web portal also provides monitoring of sales margins of SNAs and platform to the consumers for feedback. (KNN Bureau)
