With 202 companies listed on the portal, BSE SME achieves new milestone

New Delhi, Oct 6 (KNN) The BSE’s platform for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) – BSE SME achieved a new milestone with the total number of companies on the portal hitting the 200 mark.

Three new companies including Share India Securities, Trident Texofab and Poojawestern Metaliks joined the BSE SME, making the total number of companies on the portal to 202.

At present, the total market cap of BSE SME is Rs 17,268 crore. The listing comes from over 15 states and almost 20 sectors. 

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis during the listing ceremony said that his government is willing to come up with a joint working group with BSE to promote the SME listing.

Responding to the Chief Minister, BSE managing director and CEO Ashishkumar Chauhan requested the Maharashtra government set up a fund with a corpus of Rs 25-50 crore to invest in firms, which get listed in order to encourage the SMEs on the BSE. (KNN/DA)
