World Trade Center India partners with NIESBUD to promote small business

New Delhi, Dec 23 (KNN) In their MSME based joint venture, the World Trade Center India Services Council (WTCISC) signed an agreement with National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) to promote and develop small businesses, said a media report.

“The agreement is important in view of our endeavour to expand our services to the MSME sector in India. We believe that MSMEs play a vital role in socio-economic development,” it quoted WTCIS Director Khair Ull Nissa as saying.

He said the aim is to ensure they get a level playing field to compete with their larger counterparts in local as well as global markets.

Under the agreement, WTCIS will help NIESBUD in promotion and development of entrepreneurial environment through training, research and consultancy, besides assisting organisations in developing and promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment, it said.

NIESBUD Director General Arun Kumar Jha said the agreement will promote trade in the form of arranging events, holding conferences, seminars, training and providing incubation facilities. It will also provide various opportunities for a global connect with focus on MSMEs. (KNN Bureau)
