Yes Bank to set up SME service centre in Chennai

Chennai, Sept 10 (KNN) YES Bank is setting up its largest service centre in Chennai with an investment of around Rs 125 crore to address issues related to retail and SME customers across the country.

The bank has leased out 4 lakh sqft in the first phase, and plans to commence operations in 3-4 months with an initial manpower of 1,500.

Managing Director and CEO, YES Bank, Rana Kapoor said it will generate employment for 12,000 people by 2020 and manage all customers under the retail and SME categories.

The centre will start operations with 1,200 people by March 2016. In the first phase ending March 2018, the centre will employ 7,500 people and this will take care of nationwide financial services management. By 2020, the centre will have total employee strength of 12,000 people.

Kapoor said that the bank, currently have the bank have another major reason for setting up the Chennai centre was that currently retail and SME business contribute 30 per cent to the bank’s total business, which is expected to rise to 45 per cent by 2018 and 50 per cent by 2020. (KNN Bureau)
