Govt Launches Unified Portal To Track Unclaimed Financial Assets
New Delhi, May 30 (KNN) The Department of Financial Services (DFS) has launched a single digital platform enabling citizens to search for unclaimed bank deposits, insurance claims, shares, dividends and mutual funds — all in one place.
The Common Landing Portal for Unclaimed Financial Assets, developed by the Department of Financial Services (DFS) in collaboration with PSB Alliance, was launched on May 29, 2026 by Financial Services Secretary M. Nagaraju on the sidelines of the PSB review meeting.
Accessible at www.unclaimedassetsportal.in, the portal serves as a unified platform consolidating search facilities across the financial ecosystem.
Citizens can search for unclaimed assets by selecting a specific category — bank deposits, shares, insurance, or mutual funds — and verifying their identity using a registered mobile number or email and PAN via OTP.
Building on a National Campaign
The initiative builds on the DFS's nationwide campaign ‘आपकी पूँजी, आपका अधिकार (Your Money, Your Right)’, undertaken in coordination with financial sector regulators, banks and other stakeholders to facilitate awareness, tracing and restitution of unclaimed financial assets.
Secretary Nagaraju highlighted that the portal would improve citizen convenience by consolidating multiple search facilities on a single platform, strengthening efforts to reconnect individuals with their rightful financial assets.
