Ministry of Steel to Discuss QCO Exemption, Other Import Issues with Industry

New Delhi, May 26 (KNN) The Ministry of Steel will hold a virtual Open House on May 27 to discuss issues related to steel imports, including matters concerning SIMS, SARAL SIMS and Quality Control Order (QCO) exemptions.

According to the ministry, companies and industry associations can present concerns related to steel import procedures and pending applications during the session. Participants have been asked to submit requests through email by May 26, 5 PM, to obtain a confirmed time slot for the meeting.

The ministry said applicants should provide details including the company or association name, industry category, issue type, reference number of SIMS/SARAL SIMS/QCO exemption applications, a brief description of the issue, participant details and contact information.

The ministry added that the meeting schedule and virtual meeting link will be shared separately with confirmed participants.
