RAI and IGNOU holds job fair for students pursuing retail course

New Delhi, June 9 (KNN) The Retailers Association of India (RAI) in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is currently hosting a Job Fair for the students of the distance learning graduation course in Retailing.

The Job Fair is taking place at the IGNOU Headquarter, New Delhi and it will conclude on June 10.

The objective of this fair is to provide students with exposure to enhance their employability in the retail sector.

Speaking about jobs in the Indian retail industry, Kumar Rajagopalan, CEO, Retailers Association of India (RAI), said “We believe that employment in the retail sector will increase by as much as 25% in the next five years. It is therefore important to make good talent ready for the industry and also attract more talent to the retail industry.” 

Over 1200 students are expected to take part in the Fair. The event will witness the participation of about 20 top retailers in the country like Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd, Infiniti Retail Ltd (Croma), Jubilant Foodworks, Marks and Spencer and Reliance Retail to name a few.  (KNN Bureau)
