Rubber Industry demands increase in turnover threshold of MSME definition

Mumbai, June 4 (KNN) The Rubber Industry has urged for an increase in MSME criteria  from 250 crore in order to keep the future of growth intact.

This was discussed during an event organised by the All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) to highlight the problems and the potential of the Rubber Industry in India.

Speaking on the occasion  Dr. Sawar Dhanania, President AIRIA said that the global market for rubber products which is estimated at around USD 212 billion is expected to grow by 2025.

The USD 2 billion markets of non tyre rubber sector aim to double their exports by 2025.

The meeting highlighted the issues faced by rubber industry in the wake of Covid-19 and Ukraine war crisis.

It also addressed  host of problems like availability of raw materials, increase in shipping prices, and challenges to the cash flow.   (KNN Bureau)
