Kolkata, Apr 24 (KNN) Federation of Small and Medium Industries (FOSMI) will recognise performances of entrepreneurs in various categories at their annual awards ceremony scheduled to be held here in June.

Awards will be given for excellence in the categories - outstanding Industrial Enterprise in West Bengal; Outstanding Industrial Enterprise outside West Bengal; Outstanding First Generation Entrepreneur; Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur; Outstanding Export Performer; Outstanding Service Sector Enterprise; Best entry from District; and Outstanding performer in Self-Help Group (SHG), according to a release.

The event as usual will receive full support from the Directorate of Micro and Small Scale Enterprises, Government of West Bengal.

Further, arms of the state and central government such as MSME Development Institute, Kolkata and MSME – Testing Centre, Kolkata, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, NSIC, KVIB, KVIC, WBSIDC, WBFC etc. and various nationalized banks including UBI, SBI and Allahabad Bank will actively participate in the organisation and selection process of the awards.

Today, FOSMI is the largest organisation in the eastern part of the country representing the needs of small and tiny enterprises, with a membership of over a thousand entrepreneurs. It also has as affiliated members twenty dynamic SSI Associations, which represent groups of enterprises in different segments. (KNN)
