14 startups entered unicorn club in Q4FY21: NASSCOM & Praxis report

New Delhi, Feb 11 (KNN) As many as 14 new startups entered the unicorn club in Q4 2021 out of which 6 are from retail tech and fintech sector, as per a report by National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and Praxis Global.

A unicorn is a startup with a valuation of over USD 1 billion.

The study reveals that Indian startups have raised USD 7 billion in Q4FY21 which makes it 18 per cent higher than the previous quarter.

According to the report, funding continued to be strong and steady, and about USD 7.2 billion funding was received in this quarter. 

On a quarter-on-quarter basis this was 18 per cent higher which led to strong acceleration both in the volume and the multiplicity of the startups in CY21, it said. 

The global investors community showed their string interest in fintech as it gained further traction. (KNN Bureau)
