255 Indian handicraft exporters participating in Hong Kong Fair

New Delhi, Apr 20 (KNN) As many as 255 Indian handicrafts exporters will participate in the four-day-long Hong Kong fair showcasing products such as furniture, home tech appliances, kitchenware, fashion jewellery and home furnishing items, promoted by Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts starting today.
 
“With Hong Kong emerging as an important destination for aggressive marketing through medium of trade fairs, the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) is organizing the participation of 255 Indian handicrafts exporters to showcase their products in the four-day-long Hong Kong Houseware, International Home Textiles and Furnishing and Gifts and Premium Fair,” said an EPCH statement.
 
Buoyant with the success of the last year, EPCH has decided to participate in the fair every year.  Last year, 137 Indian handicrafts companies participated in the fair and generated business worth over Rs 121 crore.
 
“After detailed analysis and survey of the trade shows of Hong Kong, the Council has decided to participate on regular and annual basis in these trade fairs covering the entire range of handicrafts sector of India,” said the statement quoting Executive Director, EPCH Rakesh Kumar.
 
Apart from Hong Kong and mainland China, the other top participating countries are India, United States, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, United Kingdom, Korea, Thailand, Germany, Italy, Philippines, Spain, Brunei, Turkey, Macau, Malaysia, Israel, Singapore etc. (KNN)
