26th edition of Global Technology Summit to be held from 7th – 9th Dec 2020

New Delhi, Nov 28 (KNN) Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Department of Science & Technology (DST) are going to organise the 26th edition of DST- CII Technology Summit ‘Building Global Technology Partnerships’ from 7th – 9th December 2020 over virtual platform.

Portugal has confirmed to be the partner country of the summit this year. DST is also inviting a few other countries like Brazil, Mexico, Singapore and Israel to participate in the Summit as Participating countries.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Hon’ble Minister of Science & Technology, Health and Family Welfare and Earth Sciences, Government of India has kindly agreed to inaugurate the summit and the digital exhibition on 7th December 2020. Manuel Heitor, Hon’ble Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Government of Portugal will be the guest of honour at the Summit and will address at the inaugural session on 7th December 2020.

Focus sectors of the summit are Watertech, Agritech, Healthtech, Energy, Climate change, Cleantech, IT, ICT & Advanced technologies.

For over 25 years, this summit has been instrumental in providing significant opportunities to forge and foster global technology partnerships. The heads of the partnering countries have addressed the technology summits in the past- a significant testimony of considering science and technology as one of the topmost priorities in the world.

This global technology summit and exhibition will provide a corridor for showcasing and collaborating unbeatable technology solutions of India and the partner countries. The summit would bring together global innovators, technology leaders, disruptive entrepreneurs, policy makers, industry stalwarts and eminent academicians to share their experiences associated with the technology sectors.
