AAP effect: NDMC to sanction building plans online

New Delhi, Jan 3 (KNN) The impact of Aam Admi Party Government of Arvind Kejriwal is visible in the latest announcement of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) which today launched a scheme to sanction building plans online.
“People can now apply online for approval from NDMC for building plans. This will add to transparency in the system -- besides minimizing the procedural time. Easy checking of approvals will also reduce possible corruption,” said NDMC Chairman Jalaj Shrivastava in a statement.
He said information regarding pending applications can be monitored, at each stage, thanks to the system evolved by NDMC.
The file can also be seen by department officials, architects and citizens at any point of time. The link to the new system can be accessed through the NDMC web site https//ndmc.gov.in, he said.
