New Delhi, Feb 26 (KNN) After the grand success of Plastivision India with 110,000 visitors from across the world, the All India Plastics Manufactures Association (AIPMA) is focusing on exports of the Indian plastics industry.

Plastivision Arabia 2014 has generated tremendous interest due to the combination of the World Expo in 2020 and the FIFA World Cup in 2022 to be held in Dubai and Qatar.  It will provide considerable momentum to regional plastics players, who are expecting demand to swell in the run up to these events, AIPMA Past President Jayesh Rambhia said.

“While Dubai is set to spend over USD18 billion for the World Expo 2020, Qatar has earmarked a staggering USD 200 billion for the FIFA World Cup in 2022, which could propel plastics usage much over a conservative estimate of nearly 6 metric tons,” Rambhia, who is also Chairman of PLASTIVISION ARABIA2014 said.

“Combine this with economies that are cruising in the fast lane, the region’s plastics producers will have to look at acquiring new machinery and technology to keep pace with the expected heavy surge in consumption of plastics,” he added.

After the impressive launch of Plastivision Arabia in 2012, AIPMA with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organising the second edition of the event to be held from April 7 to 10, 2014 at Expo Centre Sharjah in UAE.

Plastivision Arabia will display raw materials and machinery for key segments such as plastic processing, injection moulding, thermoforming, packaging, industrial users, construction, infrastructure, automobile and telecommunication, among others.

It will also feature consultants’ clinic, placement pavilion, business opportunity pavilion, product design and innovation pavilion and a green pavilion. (KNN/ST)
