Air Force Vocational College offers job-oriented courses

New Delhi, May 31 (KNN)  Air Force Vocational College has invited applications from young men and women to enrol in their comprehensive job-oriented courses to make them fit for employment in reputed business houses, educational institutions, export houses, travel and tourism industry.   

Some of the courses offered are in textile and dress designing; travel, tourism and ticket management; secretarial practice and office procedures.

The courses are available on a first come first served basis and are tailor-made to help students receive exposure of the broader strategic, economic, social and human issues.

Efforts are made for the development of overall personality and counselling is provided to students to enable selection of right course to get the right job.

In addition, various certificate courses are also available as also summer vacation courses for boys and girls all age groups during summer vacation.

Significantly, the institute offers full fee concession to widows and dependants of deceased air force personnel.

Further, Rajya Sainik Board reimburses 25 per cent of the course fee to ex-servicemen, widows and their wards that successfully complete a course from this college.

The college has also set up a very effective placement cell to provide information as well as assistance to students so they find suitable jobs.  Moreover, campus recruitment is also conducted in the college.

Air Force Vocational College was founded in 1984 at its present location with a mission to promote intellectual and financial liberation amongst women.

The institution is being managed by 412 Air Force Station here chaired by the Air officer commanding, 412 Air Force Station.  (KNN)
