Amid rising Omicron concerns, DPIIT sets up Control Room to address potential disruptions in logistics & transportation

New Delhi, 5 Jan (KNN) As per a communique from Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), preventative measures to contain the spread of coronavirus has been framed by the department addressing all trade and industry associations.

To support the business ecosystem, DPIIT will monitor the status and issues arising during transportation and delivery of goods and essential commodities due to the restrictions imposed by various state governments and UTs.

Identifying the need for a control room, it has also set up a helpline number (+91 11 23063554, 23060625) in case any manufacturing, transportation, distribution, wholesale, or e-commerce companies facing difficulties in transportation and distribution of goods or mobilization of resources.

Complaints can also be sent to the email id provided by DPIIT (dpiit-controlroom@gov.in).

The telephone number will remain functional from 9 am to 9 pm and all the issues reported through this control room shall be taken up by with the concerned state/UT governments.
