Anti-dumping duty on Ofloxacin Acid from China under consideration: DGAD

New Delhi, Dec 22 (KNN) The Directorate-General of Antidumping and Allied Duties is reviewing the possibility of laying down antidumping duty on the Ofloxacon acid coming in from China on the pretext of it harming the domestic industry.

The Directorate-General of Antidumping and Allied Duties (DGAD) in a press statement said it has established positive dumping margins as well as material injury to the domestic industry caused by the imports imports of the chemical from China.

The notice further said that the DGAD has recommended a levy of antidumping duty between USD 4.16 to 8.55 per kg.

“The Authority considers it necessary to recommend imposition of definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of subject goods from the subject country for three years," the DGAD said in its notice.

The said product that the DGAD is considering to impose the duty upon is mainly used in the Pharma industry. A final call on the implementation of the notification is to be taken by the Ministry of Finance,
