AP CM invites entrepreneurs, students to participate in ‘Mad about Ideas’ Challenge

Amravati, Nov 5 (KNN) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has called upon the aspiring and existing entrepreneurs along with students to come up with innovative ideas to participate at ‘Mad about Ideas’ Challenge.

In a tweet, AP CM said, “Get recognised for your innovative ideas by applying for "Mad about Ideas" Challenge.”

His idea has been hailed by several students and aspiring entrepreneurs on twitter.

The “Mad about Ideas” Challenge has been thrown by the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society.

The challenge aims to build an entrepreneur ecosystem in the state using innovative ideas.

The initiative is in collaboration with Venusgeo/7inQ, StartAP and District Collectorates of AP.

It has been designed to be an “Innovation Accelerator“ for encouraging participants identify and develop original, innovative proposals on pressing social, technological and environmental issues at various levels by individuals and teams from all-over Andhra Pradesh and then find an innovative business oriented approach to solve them, thereby creating jobs and wealth.

The MAI Challenge is focussed on three themes - General purpose Infrastructure as a Utility to Every Citizen; Governance & Services on Demand; and Citizen Empowerment Services.

The last date for submission of idea is December 11, 2016 and the announcement of Short-listed entries will be done on December 14, 2016. The final round of the challenge would take place at StartAP Fest in Vijayawada on 23 & 24 December, 2016.

The winner would get the cash prize of Rs one lakh along with award from AP CM; full Incubation Programme at XLr8 (for specific domains); and Visit to UT Austin for 1 week.

Participation is open to any current or aspiring Entrepreneur, Employees, Community Member, or Business Person who is a resident in the district of AP, and any of its alumni (regardless of location.). (KNN Bureau)
