Application for National Entrepreneurship Awards to close on September 30

New Delhi, Sept 29 (KNN) The government’s call for applications for the National Entrepreneurship awards, instituted by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, is set to close on September 30.

The Ministry had invited applications in a bid to recognise and encourage entrepreneurship in the country.

This year is the second year since the inception of the awards.

Under the award scheme, individual entrepreneurs will be awarded Rs 5 lakh, and mentoring institutes will be awarded Rs 10 lakh.

The startups will be awarded in two broad categories of Award track and Recognition Track.

Under the award track category , first generation entrepreneurs will be identified  in different domains including textiles, leather; agriculture, forestry products; chemicals, pharmaceuticals and renewable energy as well as waste management.

Also entrepreneurs in handicrafts; e-commerce; IT and ITES; healthcare; education and engineering, sectors will be considered for the award.

Institutes or organisations that offer courses on entrepreneurship development, incubation, mentorship and handholding support will be identified and awarded under the recognition track category. (KNN/ DA)
