Be aware of frauds- GJEPC to jewellery traders

Mumbai, March 5 (KNN) The Gems and Jewelry Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has appealed to the traders and jewelers not to throw or give away original diamond grading reports in a situation when customers say they don't want them.

The appeal has come out after a Delhi Based firm sold lab-grown diamonds with natural diamond grading reports online last month.

Talking to KNN, the Executive Director of GJEPC, Sabya Sachi Ray said that we came to know about this fraud from media reports and we have made appeal to our traders and jewelers to be aware of all this.

He said that Alibaba site is investigating the matter internally also.

They were selling the Diamond lab certificates online, he said.

We have asked our association members to cautious while trading, he said. (KNN Bureau)
