Best of Indian handicrafts in quality, design & versatility on display at Dilli Haat

New Delhi, Dec 3 (KNN)  The National Handicrafts Fair featuring ‘Master Creations’ that began at Dilli Haat on Wednesday is showcasing the best of handicrafts in terms of quality, design and versatility from across the country.

The colourful event depicting Indian culture through the various stalls was inaugurated by Union Textiles Minister, Santosh Kumar Gangwar.  The inauguration was followed by a cultural evening, with performances such as folk and traditional dances, representing Indian folk art, according to an official release.

Master artisans and weavers from all over India are participating in the fair that will be on until December-15.

The Fair has been conceptualized with a view to provide a direct marketing platform for innovative products developed by 120 handicrafts and 42 Handlooms master artisans/weavers from all across the country.

The Fair is being promoted and marketed by Council of Handicrafts Development Corporation (COHANDS), with financial assistance from the office of Development Commissioner (Handicrafts). Secretary (Textiles) was the guest of honour; Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) and (Handlooms) and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.   (KNN Bureau)
