Bharat Petroleum to install rim seal fire to enhance safety

New Delhi, Jun 27 (KNN) Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is keen to install rim seal fire protection system at its multiple BPCL locations for safety purposes.
It will also buy remote operated, manual operated and trolley mounted high volume long range water-cum-foam monitors to be used at their multiple BPCL locations.
In this regard, it has invited bids from suppliers.
Bharat petroleum has laid a lot of emphasis on safety of refinery and workers. Its refineries are equipped with instruments like leak detectors to detect hydrocarbon leak from relief safety valves, gas surveyors to monitor fugitive emissions.
An Indian state-controlled oil and gas company headquartered in Mumbai, Bharat Petroleum also conducts fire drills for ensuring safety of the workers involving women and children. (KNN)
