Bihar invites investment, promises EoDB at par with developed States

Patna, May 13 (KNN) To attract industries and investments, the Bihar government hosted an investor summit on Thursday and assured the industry representatives to create Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) which is similar to the one practiced in developed States.

Promising a curb in red tapism through measures like single window clearance and plug and play facilities, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tarkeshwar Prasad and Industry Minister Shahnawaz Hussain made all over their efforts to attract industrialists at the first investor summit since 2007.

The State Industry Minister said that the state has ample land bank for industry and 1719 acres have already been allotted.

The Ministers stated that 68 industrial areas and mega industrial parks have come up and 2900 acres of land have been created in the state for industry.

Calling cheap labour as one of its strengths, Dy CM Singh said it will help the industrialists and he insisted that it a wrong perception that Bihar is not a good investment destination due to which the State has suffered significantly.

Top industrial houses such as Adani, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Godrej, General Electric etc., have shown interest in the state.  (KNN Bureau)
