Ludhiana, Jul 29 (KNN)  Rich tributes were paid to founder of Avon Cycles Sohan Lal Pahwa by Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari here.

The Minister  attended a function organized by Avon Cycles and released a book titled “The Balance of Two Wheels,” written by Abhijit Ahuja on the biography of Sohan Lal Pahwa, who was the founding father of Avon Bicycles unit in Ludhiana in 1952.

Paying rich tributes to the vision of Pahwa, Tewari said that Pahwa created a model and modern cycle manufacturing unit in Ludhiana.  By the virtue of his success and inspiration his industry has become a beacon of motivation for other entrepreneurs.

Avon Cycles Limited is AVON Group’s flagship company.  The Head Office and manufacturing plant are located in the buzzing industrial city some 300 kilometres north of New Delhi.

It is a family business promoted by the house of Pahwas.  Onkar Singh Pahwa of the second generation leads the team as Chairman and Managing Director.  (KNN)
