BJYM to organize national conference to promote women entrepreneurship: Tejasvi Surya

New Delhi, April 19 (KNN) In order to encourage women leadership in the country to promote  gender-inclusive growth, Bhartiya Janta Party Yuva Morcha (BJYM) will soon be organising a national conference.

While addressing a conference organized by FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), BJYM Presidenf Tejasvi Surya said this.

FLO has decided to focus gender-inclusive growth by promoting women entrepreneurship to support economic empowerment.

Speaking at an interaction ‘India Rising’ organised FLO, Jayanti Dalmia, President, FLO said, “The FLO will be working on the gender inclusive growth story of the nation by amplifying the voices of women and increasing their participation in the entrepreneurial segment.”

“There are 432 million women of working-age in India, out of which 343 million are employed in the unorganized sector. This is where our role and our interventions will be critical to the goal of women empowerment,” she added.

Dalmia called for a conscious and collaborative effort from government, industry, academia and individuals to boost women empowerment.

Tejasvi Surya, President, BJYM and MP said, “Women entrepreneurship is one of the vehicles for realising a more equal society as more women take on entrepreneurship, it serves as a catalyst for socio-economic transformation.”

He said that to further encourage women leadership BYJM will soon be organising a national conference.

Surya stated that the Indian economy has been suffering for decades due to dynastic politics in the centre and states, and said that it should be stopped as it has been the biggest hindrance for new ideas and entrepreneurship. (KNN Bureau)
