BSE SME now has 166 companies listed

Mumbai, Mar 15 (KNN) The SME exchange of BSE now has 166 companies listed with Jaipur based RMC Switchgears Limited joining the bourse on Tuesday.

In a notification, BSE SME said, “…effective from Tuesday, March 14, 2017 the Equity Shares of RMC Switchgears Limited shall be listed and admitted to dealings on the SME Platform of Exchange in the list of ‘M’ Group of Securities.”

RMC Switchgears Ltd is engaged in the business of designing and manufacturing of Enclosures of Energy Meters, LT/ HT Distribution boxes and panels, Junction boxes etc.

Meanwhile, Managing Director & CEO, BSE Ltd., Ashish Kumar Chauhan recently said that BSE is expecting to gain 25000 to 30000 SMEs in its SME platform in next two years.

Chauhan called upon the well established SMEs to come forward to list their entities with stock exchanges such as BSE's SME Platform to enhance their market valuation.

Head-BSE SME, Ajay Thakur has said that it is expected that out of thousands of SMEs, 25000 to 30000 SMEs have potential to gain in listing access in Bombay Stock Exchange SMEs platform in next two years, given its advantages.

He explained that certain disclosure norms have to be abided by the prospective SMEs that wish to get listed as those would ensure transparency in listing to safeguard the interest of investors as well sustain their operations for time to come. (KNN Bureau)
