Budget 2019: Women MSMEs’ wish-list includes sector wise allocation of special funds for them

Belgaum, June 8 (KNN) Ahead of the first full Budget 2019 to be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Women entrepreneurs want sector wise allocation of special funds for women Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Sharing the wish list in a pre-budget meeting, Belgaum based entrepreneur cum Laghu Udyog Bharati (Belgaum) Secretary, Priya Puranik suggested that all women entrepreneurs should be covered under government schemes of medical insurance, life insurance and pension scheme after 60 years.

In addition, she suggested to make technology transfer cheaper for women entrepreneurs.

She said “Technology transfer to women entrepreneurs from government either should be made available free of cost or at a subsidized price.”

Besides this, she asked for separate registration portal for home run business like boutique, day care, nursing of new born or aged, house-keeping job, beauty parlours, embroidery, handicrafts and many more.

“Subsidy for women in GST registration fees, ISO accreditation, lower bank interest rates and longer moratorium for certain sectors are some of the other suggestion included in the wishlist.
