Business community is happy with portfolio allocation: CAIT

New Delhi, May 31 (KNN) The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), an apex body of 7 crore traders in the country, has expressed satisfaction over portfolio allocation of different Ministers in the new Government.

The allocation indicates that second term of Modi Government is destined to deliver results with an aggressive approach on all fronts.

Secretary General of CAIT, Praveen Khandelwal said that with Nirmala Sitaraman as Finance Minister & Piyush Goyal as Commerce Minister it is expected that GST taxation system will be more simplified and domestic trade under Ministry of Commerce will have new and better avenues for development of internal trade and small manufacturing whereas e commerce policy will be made in order to protect Indian traders.

 Smriti Irani as textile minister will continue up gradation of textile business in the Country and efforts will be made to make more women as entrepreneurs and issue of women hygiene will be on priority. It is also hoped that security of commercial markets & traders will be stepped up and Police force will be made public friend with Amit Shah as Home Minister, he added.

He said that the issue of Delhi sealing is now hoped to be resolved and Model Tenancy code will be declared by Hardeep Puri as Urban Development Minister.

 On the other hand with Ram Vilas Paswan as Consumer Affairs Minister the Consumer Protection Act will see the light of the day, he said.

He added that the CAIT delegations will soon meet various Ministers of the Government to urge upon them to take core issues of the trade in centre stage of priorities. The CAIT is also seeking an appointment with Prime Minister.
