CAIT appoints e-commerce warriors in each of 100 cities for its portal Bharatemarket

New Delhi,  Mar 31 (KNN) The Confederation of  All India Traders ( CAIT) has appointed 100 e-commerce warriors for its portal " Bharatemarket.

"The CAIT has nominated 100 prominent trade leaders in 100 cities of different states across the Country as E Commerce Warriors who will be instrumental in prevailing upon the local traders in respective cities for creating their e-shops on its portal bharatemarket," CAIT said in a statement  on Wednesday.

CAIT National President B C Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said the CAIT is working on two types of strategy simultaneously to liberate the e-commerce trade of India from the vicious clutches of Amazon & Flipkart who are still continuing with their business module of flouting rules and policy of the Government. The CAIT is the front runner in opposing these Companies for their ill founded business mechanism since last more than 4 years and time & again demanding the Government to initiate action against them whereas on the other hand while realising the importance of e-commerce and looking it as a future mode of business in India, the CAIT is working round the clock to make the traders aware about the necessity of having their e-shops on online platform beside having their physical shops in the market. "

The purchasing behaviour of the Consumer is changing very rapidly and as such there is a need to onboard the traders on online platforms as well and prompted by this fact, the CAIT is launching its e-commerce portal "Bharatemarket" very soon-said the trade leaders, it added.

Both the  leaders also said that 100 "E-commerce Warriors" nominated by the CAIT are leading trade leaders of their respective city commanding a wide reputation amongst the trading community.

"These warriors have been advised to work with local trade associations of each of the 100 cities for guiding the traders as to how they can easily onboard the BEM portal by the use of technology. The leaders will move from one Association to another in their respective cities and in a time bound manner will ensure seamless onboarding of traders on the BEM portal," the traders' body said.

The CAIT has already launched ite vendor onboarding App on March 11th at New Delhi which according to CAIT has received an overwhelming response from all over India and more than one lakh traders have already registered themselves for creation of their e-shops on BEM portal.

With E commerce warriors working on the ground, this number will increase in a phenomenal manner, it claimed.

Bhartia and Khandelwal further informed that during this week, the CAIT will launch its consumer registration App simultaneously in the capital of each State of India led by an event at New Delhi.

CAIT Vice Chairman Brij Mohan Agrawal & National Secretary Sumit Agarwal informed that the e-commerce portal "bharatemarket" is all set to be launched in the first week of May,2021.

We have set a target of onboarding 7 lakh sellers on BEM portal by December,  2021 which will make the BEM portal the largest portal of India. About 40 thousand trade associations across the Country will be roped in for accomplishing this most ambitious figure. The traders and consumers of the Country are totally fed up with the existing e-commerce portal and are looking for a viable alternative and the BEM will provide them such an alternative, they said.
