CAIT to host virtual exhibitions of Indian goods amid festive seasons

New Delhi, Aug 29 (KNN) The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has planned to host more than 300 live displays and virtual exhibitions of Indian goods across the country with the beginning of one such exhibition on Friday held at CAIT Headquarters at New Delhi.

''More than 40 thousand trade associations across the country will participate in this campaign of Hindustani Diwali,'' said the traders’ body on Friday.

CAIT National President BC Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that holding this year's Diwali in most Indian traditional manner, the CAIT has started a big initiative in the country, calling on traders and people across the country to celebrate Hindustani Diwali.

The traders’ body has also advised trade associations across the country to identify local potter, craftsman, artisan, sculptor, artist, etc. from every corner of the country, who make the goods used on Diwali and get their goods sold by the traders.

The duo also told that all the items related to Diwali including earthen diyas, candles, lightning sticks, coloured bulbs, Vandanavar, decorative items to decorate shops and homes, Rangoli, signs of auspicious Shubh Laabh, gifts Items idols made of clay, sand etc of Lord Ganesh, Goddess Laxmi and Lord Hanuman for worship and many other types of goods will be made by the local people in new and innovative forms and they will be sold by the traders at the shops.

''This initiative will make the people of the lowest strata of the country Atamnirbhar and promote local products. Through the shops this stuff will reach in every nook & corner of the country,'' it added.

They further said that there will be no shortage of Indian goods in any corner of the country and people will celebrate Diwali this time with full enthusiasm as Hindustani Diwali in its true sense and spirit.
