Central Railside Warehouse to implement CSR initiatives through social entrepreneurs

In this context, CRWC is planning to use the services of associates with experience in such matters.
Over the past few years it has undertaken a number of CSR activities in fulfilment of its obligations in terms of the guidelines on CSR as notified by the Department of Public Enterprises, according to reports.
It has planted five hundred trees, created two sulabh shauchalayas. The company has also constructed four rain water harvesting structures at RWCs (Railside Warehousing Complex) to harvest rain water for recharging ground water table.
Central Railside Warehouse Company Ltd (CRWC) is a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of Central Warehousing Corporation, with share capital of Rs.40.56 crores. It operates 18 RWCs at Whitefield (Bangalore), Shakur Basti, Nishatpura, Sanathnagar, Nasik Road, Badnera, Ghaziabad, Alam Nagar (Lucknow), Roza (Shahjahanpur), Kandla (Gujarat), Koodal Nagar(Madurai), Yamuna Bridge (Agra), Korrukkupet (Chennai), Hita (Ranchi), Dehri-on-Sone (Bihar), Saswad Road (Pune), Dankuni (West Bengal) and Mysore (Karnataka). The RWC at Jogeshwari in Mumbai is under construction.
Its vision is to provide multi modal logistics to trade and support the Indian economy in reducing logistics cost. Towards this, it provides efficient rail based total logistic solutions, leveraging economy of scale to the advantage of all stakeholders. (KNN/ES)
