CITCO to implement revenue management system in hotels

Chandigarh, Jan 29 (KNN) With the objective of improving its hotel business, CITCO owned by the Chandigarh Administration plans ti implement Revenue Management System (RMS) in its three hotels in the Union Territory.

In this context, CITCO is looking for procuring suitable software for RMS which would have to be duly integrated with the existing PMS software already installed at the three hotels - Hotel Mountview, Hotel Shivalikview and Hotel Parkview here.

The RMS software will offer fully flexible rates to enable the hotel to conclude on the best rates taking into consideration various factors like room types, policies, fees, sales channels, etc.

The facilities of setting restrictions or giving incentives like early check in, last minute bookings, free nights, and promotional/group codes will also be enabled.

The pattern of rates linked to a schedule of events, occupancy levels can be configured and calendar view of rates and inventory to get an overview of the hotel distribution, alerts and reporting system will be offered.

The Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation Limited (CITCO) was originally known as Chandigarh Small Industries Development Corporation (CSIDC) and was given additional functions of promotion of tourism and other related activists.

In 1982, the Management of Hotel Mountview and Hotel Parkview was transferred to the Corporation. In addition the Corporation was given the responsibility for managing the Community Centres and Clubs. (KNN/SD)
