Coimbatore, June 18 (KNN) An exhibition of textile machinery, accessories, and spares will be organised in Coimbatore from June 24 to 27.

Union Minister for Textiles Piyush Goyal will inaugurate the fair and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L. Murugan will also take part in the inaugural. 

The event will be held at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex from 10 am to 6 pm.

About 233 exhibitors will be displaying machinery and accessories in 312 stalls.

The focus this year will be on import substitution and the exhibition is being organised by SIMA. 

The exhibition was not held for the last two years because of COVID-19.

The organisers have confirmed that 50 per cent of the stalls were booked within a day and huge response from the exhibitors have been received this year.

While 140 exhibitors are from Tamil Nadu, the rest are from other States and a few are also representatives of overseas companies. (KNN Bureau)
